I scream, you scream, we all scream for banana ice cream! I do have a magnificent ice cream maker that was a birthday gift from Joey, but sometimes I don’t think ahead and keep my freezer bowl in the freezer (d’oh!). This dessert is so simple to prepare you can chop your bananas in the morning before work, pop them in the freezer, and by the time you get home from a long day you’re ready to dive into a no-guilt dessert; of course this is after a complete meal! Not to mention, this is probably one of the most nutritious ice creams you can eat! Check out the Top 10 Health Benefits of Bananas!
Ingredients:
- 6 very ripe organic bananas, peeled & diced
- 4 Tablespoons your favorite nut butter (I had Chocolate Soy Nut Butter)
- Optional: handful of chocolate chips
Directions:
- Spread your diced bananas in a pie dish and freeze for at least 1.5 – 2 hours.

- Once your bananas are frozen, you may either use a masher or blend your bananas, until creamy. If desired, add your nut butter and / or chocolate chips.

- You may either serve at this time, or place in a freezer-proof container and place back in the freezer. Isn’t that the quickest ice cream you’ve made, let alone the healthiest?!

- Enjoy eating whole!
