Ingredients (serves 2-4):
- 14 oz firm tofu, sliced into 1/2 inch thick tofu steaks
- 1/2 cup organic corn meal
- 2-3 teaspoons chipotle powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Oil for frying (I used organic coconut oil)
Directions:
- In a mixing bowl combine your corn meal, chipotle powder, salt, and whisk to combine. Place your tofu steak and coat each side with your corn meal, dust any excess off.
- Heat your skillet to medium-high heat (I opt to use my cast iron skillet as it gives a great crispy crust) and add 2 Tablespoons of your oil for frying. Add your coated tofu and fry until golden about 5-7 minutes, carefully flip and cook for another 5-7 minutes (adding more oil as necessary).

Enjoy eating whole!
